After an excellent return to the track in Gr.1 Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard Jacques le Marois, ONESTO (Frankel) finished a brilliant third in the world’s most prestigious race, the Gr.1 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp.

Five years on from the wonderfully talented Dice Roll’s exertions in the race, the Chappet Racing team have unearthed yet another Classic contender, in the shape of three-year-old Good Guess, who impressively carried the colours of his owner Hisaaki Saito to success in one of the springs most informative contests, the Gr.3 Prix Djebel at Deauville.

Not only is Antoinette Tamagni’s homebred Master Gatsby (The Grey Gatsby) extremely handsome, but the chestnut colt is proving to be quite talented on the racecourse too and put up an excellent display when landing the Prix Des Sequoias (Class 2) at Fontainebleau on Wednesday.

Despite only debuting in May of his three-year-old year, the talented White Whisky has quickly developed into one of the most consistent horses in training at Chappet Racing. Owned and bred by loyal yard supporter Rashit Shaykhutdinov, White Whisky kicked off his 2022 campaign in perfect style, with an imposing success in the Prix des Pavillons de Bercy (Class 2) at ParisLongchamp earlier this week.

Topgear impresses
in the Prix Éclipse (Gr.3)
The 2yo colt Topgear (Wootton Bassett), unbeaten in his career two starts, stretched his record to three when taking the coveted Prix Éclipse (Gr3) at Chantilly over 1,200m. The juvenile colt, who is owned by Hisaaki Saito, proved courageous to come and pocket a first Black Type victory.

Already elated following the demonstration of Good Guess, the Chappet Racing team then celebrated a brace of Listed successes with our talented pair of fillies, Gregarina (De Treville) and Sivka Burka (Siyouni).
GREGARINA GETS DESERVED LISTED SUCCESS

It was great to see the Gregarina, a three-year-old daughter of De Treville get a well-deserved Listed success in the Prix de la Cochere at ParisLongchamp on Sunday afternoon. Gregarina’s victory also proved extremely poignant for long-standing yard supporter Rashit Shaykhutdivov, who not only bred the filly, but also saw his colours sported by her sire De Treville throughout his racing career.

The Chappet Racing team fielded five runners this afternoon at Saint-Cloud (24th June) and we were delighted to come away from the Parisian course with two nice winners, who are both owned and bred by long-standing yard supporter Rashit Shaykhutdinov.

Since making a successful début at Chantilly last September, the team at Chappet Racing have held ONESTO, a son of Frankel, in the highest regard. Having his second start of the season, the three-year-old colt confirmed those expectations with a striking performance in Sunday’s Gr.2 Prix Greffulhe at Saint-Cloud.
HAYES TEAM IN WINNING FORM

Following on from last month’s successes of both Pourquoi Pas (Dark Angel) and Once (Tamayuz), long standing owner-breeders Brendan and Anne-Marie Hayes enjoyed another Chappet Racing-trained winner this week. The rapidly improving filly, CHAUSSONS ROSES (New Approach) battled her way to success in the Prix Desir de Mai (Maiden) at Lyon-Parilly and in doing so, became the fourth winner during the month of April for the yard.

At Chantilly on Tuesday the yard celebrated a 1-2 in the fillies’ newcomers race with POURQUOI PAS and BAMBITA, followed shortly after by a Listed victory with the 3yo colt MACHETE!
In the Prix de la Serpentine (3yo fillies, Newcomers, 1,900m) Pourquoi Pas, in the colours of Anne-Marie Hayes, had to dig deep to hold off her stablemate Bambita, who is owned by Rashit Shaykhutdinov in a thrilling finish.
BEL ARISTO CLAIMS

Since making his racecourse debut in March this year, three-year-old BEL ARISTO has continued to impress with each subsequent run and on Friday, October 1st, the son of New Approach landed a first success at Listed level in taking the Prix Scaramouche (L)at Saint-Cloud.

A run of form in August has seen 6 winners from the yard in the last two weeks!
WATCHMEN led the way when scoring on the 1st August at Clairefontaine for owner Antoinette Tamagni.
The following day at Dieppe, the speedy and consistent KILFRUSH MEMORIES stormed to a win in a Class 2 race over 1,100m in the colours of Sydney Vidal. This tough performer brings his career earning to over €215,000!

Kicking off a wonderful start to the month of May, the team at Chappet Racing celebrated yet another success from our rock-solid PRINCE LANCELOT (Sir Prancealot), who took the Listed Prix Servanne (1,200m) at Chantilly on Tuesday. Now a dual Listed winner, Prince Lancelot has been an admirable money-spinner for his owner Antoine Gilbert and on Monday, the four-year-old recorded a fifth success from just thirteen career starts.

As the team at Chappet Racing gear-up towards some of the big Spring fixtures, it was great to secure a brace of victories earlier this week. Having given us many enjoyable days over the previous two seasons, it was fantastic to see PRINCE LANCELOT (Sir Prancealot) make a successful seasonal debut in the Prix de la Futaie des Epinettes (Class 2) at Chantilly on Wednesday.

Chappet Racing have produced eight individual two-year-old winners this season, including the unbeaten TOPGEAR. Owned by Hisaaki Saito, Topgear won the Prix Eclipse (G3) at Chantilly on his third and most recent start. The son of Wotton Bassett now boasts a French rating of 49 (108 in UK) and should make his presence felt at the top-level next term.

The well-bred Onesto (Frankel), made a fantastic start to his racing career when taking the Prix de Villebon (newcomers) in fine style at Chantilly on his debut in competition for owners Jean-Pierre-Joseph Dubois, Jean-Etienne Dubois, Ecurie Hunter Valley, Haras d'Etreham, Ecurie Billon, Ecurie Elag and Hubert Guy. His impressive win earned him ‘Rising Star’ status from both the Jour de Galop and the TDN!
