D’ORES ET DÉJÀ EARNS BLACK-TYPE STATUS
------------
21 October 2024
3rd – Darley Prix des Réservoirs (Gr3) – Deauville
Once again, D’Ores et Déjà (Zarak) proved flawless. In her first attempt at Group level, in the Prix des Réservoirs (Gr3), the filly owned by Al Shaqab Racing finished third despite a particularly unlucky trip. Keen early in the race, she was forced wide into the fourth lane by one of her rivals.
Rupert Pritchard-Gordon, Al Shaqab’s racing manager in France:
“She’s brave and had already shown she could handle this type of ground. She’s an experienced filly with a big heart. The goal now will be to try to win a black-type race with her next year. That said, we can take our time because she’s still a maiden, which gives us all options for her seasonal reappearance. She’s well-bred, and the bold type is very important with a view to her second career.”
