1st – Prix de Saint-Firmin (Maiden) – Chantilly

After finishing third on debut at Deauville, then second again on the same course, Ironico (Gift Box) got off the mark on his third start, winning this Chantilly maiden. He defeated Belvédère Palace (Calyx) by a length, despite conditions that didn’t play to his strengths.

“The colt did the job, even though he’ll be better over a longer trip and on firmer ground. Mission accomplished. His program remains to be decided, but he’s a promising horse who had already run very well twice in good company.”
