CROWN PRINCESSE LOOKS TO HAVE BIG FUTURE

------------

Flying through the grades, having only debuted (2nd) in mid-February, the Chappet Racing team were delighted to cheer home our rather exciting filly CROWN PRINCESSE (Zarak) to victory in the Gr.3 Prix Cleopatre at Saint Cloud.

This is a wonderful success story for her joint-owners Antoinette Tamagini of Haras de Saint Julien and Mrs Regula Vannod, who not bred the filly in partnership, but they also bred the dam together too – the Listed placed Lovemedo.

Although she was pitched in at Group level on only her third start and still looks to be quite unfurnished, Crown Princesse stood her ground well and was given a beautiful ride by Ioritz Mendizabal. Held up towards the rear and last turning into the straight, Crown Princesse stayed on well up the straight and hit the line with zest.

Crown Princesse has been allotted an official rating of 46kgs following her Cleopatre success and she looks capable of holding her own at the highest level. She holds no entries in the classics, but we will now reflect on her future with her owners and see where she goes next.

This marks our 20th success of the season and with the team in such good form of late, we are largely looking forward to runners such as Gain It, Onesto and Pleasant Jane in the coming days.
