EXCITING FORTUNE TAKES DEBUT SUCCESS
------------
As has frequently been the case this season, Rashit Shaykhutdinov enjoyed another homebred success thanks to the promising two-year-old colt Fortune (De Treville), who was a slick debut winner at ParisLongchamp on Sunday, October 16th.
A son of De Treville, who also carried the Shaykhutdinov silks, Fortune showed both tenacity and class to land the 1,600m contest on his first racecourse start, and was given a positive ride by jockey, Stephane Pasquier.
Out of the Gr.3 winner February Sun, Fortune looks to have a promising future ahead of him and he could be the type of horse to hit the target in some of the more lucrative contests next springtime. Courageous and willing inside the closing stages, having tracked in mid division early on, Fortune galloped strongly through the line to score by a half a length. He joins both Empathic and Gain It, who is also by De Treville, to become the third winning Shaykhutdinov homebred juvenile for Chappet Racing this term and takes the yard total to 47 victories for the season so far.
