GOOD GUESS HEADS FOR THE POULE

------------

Five years on from the wonderfully talented Dice Roll’s exertions in the race, the Chappet Racing team have unearthed yet another Classic contender, in the shape of three-year-old Good Guess, who impressively carried the colours of his owner Hisaaki Saito to success in one of the springs most informative contests, the Gr.3 Prix Djebel at Deauville.

A goodlooking son of Kodiac, Good Guess quickly shone as a juvenile and was Listed placed towards the end of 2022. Purchased by Chauvigny Global Equine for a whopping 420,000Gns as a yearling at Tattersalls Book 1, there has always been some high expectations for the colt and he will now head towards the Gr.1 Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains at ParisLongchamp on Sunday, May 14th.

Although the ‘Poule’ will require a further step up in trip, there was a lot to suggest that Good Guess will relish the mile trip at ParisLongchamp. Ridden to success in the Prix Djebel by Stephane Pasquier, the colt was held up towards the back of the field early, then came with a strong run on the standside rail and hit the line full of running, suggesting that a further trip is well within his compass.

It is fantastic to train yet another blacktype winner for loyal owner Hisaaki Saito, who has supported the Chappet Racing team firmly and has enjoyed plenty of success with the unbeaten Gr.3 winner Topgear, who is due to make his return to action in the coming weeks.

The Chappet Racing team have enjoyed an enjoyed an excellent start to the season proper, with Good Guess notching up our third winner of the week, following on from Hialeah and the evergreen Royaumont, who scored his seventh success last weekend.
