NEW STAKES SUCCESS
Célestin scores a second Listed victory
Already a Listed winner as a 2-year-old (in the Critérium du Languedoc, by over six lengths!), Célestin added another Stakes win to his scorecard with a four-length victory in the Prix de Ranelagh against his elders at Saint-Cloud. Owned and bred by Écurie Normandie Pur-Sang, who also raced his sire Dabirsim, this was a thoroughly well-deserved result for the 3-year-old colt, who has performed at the highest level throughout his career. In May, Célestin finished fourth in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains (Gr1), followed by a fifth place in the highly competitive Jersey Stakes (Gr3) at Royal Ascot. He has shown his best form on softer ground, and will be one to keep dan eye out for this Autumn. Pierre-Charles Boudot was in the saddle, who has ridden Célestin three times for three wins!
