On Monday the yard celebrated a quickfire double at Lyon-Parilly with two 2-year-old maiden winners!

Girl On The Moon opened the day when winning the Prix des Orchidées (2yo fillies’ maiden over 1,600m) on just her second lifetime start. She sat in mid-division before swinging into the lead and showing great determination to see off her rivals, winning by a length under jockey Mickaël Barzalona. The filly runs in the colours of Jean-Etienne Dubois, who owns her in association with Hubert Guy, Haras d’Etreham, and Haras de Beauvoir. She is by Wootton Bassett

Easter was quick to follow in his stablemate’s footsteps when taking the colts’ equivalent, the Prix des Camelias - the next race on the card. He is owned by Samantha Amar, whose colours he carries, and Mrs Jean-Etienne Dubois. This 2-year-old colt, who is by Exosphere, had finished a promising third on his debut at ParisLongchamp at the beginning of September behind Normandy Bridge, who went on to win the Gr3 Prix Thomas Bryon. Ridden prominently, he stormed to a ¾ length victory under a hands and heels ride from Mickaël Barzalona.
